Finding Balance as a busy Mom, learn how to manage your time better.
Hello Lovely Momma!
How are you doing?
Can you believe how quickly this year has gone? I can't. I spent my Sunday on a boat watching my kids have the time of their lives. It was so nice!
And really what I needed. A moment of being in the present with them making memories.
I was wondering to myself, what is it that has made me feel so stressed and out of balance. I don’t want to spend the rest of my year feeling frazzled, I want to find peace and feel somewhat… well, balanced.
But, as a busy mom, what does that even mean?
What is Balance?
Balance is that place where a mom starts to feel more on top of things, more confident in the choices that she makes, and finally realizes that not everything will be easy or perfect.
Being a mom can be really hard on most days, however, it can also be very rewarding!
We are all doing our best to be able to balance all the needs of our family as well as ourselves, and to do it with as much grace as possible.
Enter… Mom Guilt … Yes, our mom shadow if you will.
When you allow yourself to feel mom guilt, finding that balance can feel nearly impossible.
It is important to understand that not every situation will work out the way that you had once hoped. Life will always have a way of throwing a curve ball at you and all you can do is your best in that situation.
Not to mention that, mom guilt can also lead to many other problems such as irritability, loneliness, depression, anxiety, and lack of self care.

What can you do to change it?
Here are three things that you can do to stop feeling guilty and to find that balance that you need as a mom.
1- Don’t Compare yourself to others- You do what is best for you and your kids. It doesn’t matter what other moms are doing. You need to be confident in yourself and in what you do. The grass is not always greener on the other side and social media is NEVER the whole story, so don’t compare yourself to others.
2- Ask for help if you are overwhelmed - Let people know what you need. Tell your spouse that you need support. Let your mother in law watch the kids. All of these things will help you to not feel overwhelmed and will help you to find more balance in your time and accomplish what you need.

3- Work on yourself. Use your journal to learn how to express yourself.- Remember that you and your mental health are a priority. Taking care of yourself means that you will be able to take better care of your family.
