Journaling –
Journaling is a powerful tool that can be used in many areas of building your mental health. Many therapists and coaches alike will encourage the use of a Journal in obese self-improvement.
Here’s how you do it! Grab a notebook. A plain one will do, but if you want to go ahead and get a fancy one that will motivate you to use it.
Decide on what type of journal you would like. Diary, Art, or Bullet style.
Then start using it. Start with.
- Make a list of your achievements and the things that you are proud of.
- Make sure to list all of your strengths. Be proud of the things that you have accomplished.
- Write about what motivates you to keep going and what keeps you from moving forward.
Goals that are Important to You
Set some realistic goals for yourself.
- Make a List of the Big Goals you have for yourself – Dream Big
- Then take each one and break them down into smaller, more achievable steps.
- Celebrate every small win. Even the small ones, they all matter
Using Positive Self Talk to boost your Self- Worth
Practice Positive Self-Talk
- Use affirmations to remind you what you are capable of
- When you say something negative, reframe your thinking and restate in a positive manner
- Do NOT put yourself down.
- Learn what it means to give yourself grace and be forgiving of yourself just like you are of all of the other great people in your life.
Doing these small steps daily will surely help you to build yourself esteem and your confidence.
